Turingo was born out of frustration with the existing AI detectors that were not accurate enough to fairly judge students' writing. As educators, we needed a tool that could deliver results we could defend and explain. As engineers, we understood that relying solely on the document's content for AI detection would not be enough and would only lead to disputes with no real solution.
We needed a different approach, one where AI detection could be reviewed and justified, not just accepted on blind trust. No existing AI detector could do this, so we naturally decided to build one ourselves.
From the beginning, our goal was to create a tool that would meet our own requirements, which came from our classroom experience. One that would empower teachers to detect AI abuse in a transparent way , without need for manual review of each document.
We're building Turingo because we believe AI has a lot of potential to improve education, but it should be used in a way that helps, not replaces, students' judgment.
