This Privacy Policy explains how Turingo, operated by Kodea, collects, uses, and protects personal data.
2. Data We Collect
We collect only data necessary to operate the Service, including:

- Document text
- Revision history
- Metadata (for example timestamps and edit frequency)
- IP address
3. How We Use Data
We use data for:
- Account creation, authentication, and login
- Providing and improving the Service
- Generating AI-detection reports
- Sending product updates and newsletters

5. Emails We Send
Service emails, such as account verification, password resets, and billing notices, are part of providing the Service and are sent under performance of a contract.
If you have a Turingo account, we may also send you occasional product updates and newsletters about the Service. We do this based on our legitimate interest in keeping customers informed about the Service.
If you sign up for the newsletter on our website without an account, we send you newsletters only after you confirm your subscription through a link we email you. This is based on your consent. To document it, we record when you signed up and confirmed, the page you signed up on, and your IP address.
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Unsubscribing does not affect service emails. We keep your newsletter subscription details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
6. Data Storage and Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption, access controls, and secure servers.
Except for the free replay tool described below, document-related data (document text, revision history, and metadata) is retained for up to 3 months.
Free replay tool
For the free replay tool, your browser fetches the selected Google Doc's revision data from Google and Turingo processes that revision data. Uploaded replay payloads and generated replay result objects are removed from storage within 24 hours. Operational job metadata, including your normalized account email, job status, safe error code, sizes, and timestamps, is retained indefinitely for quota enforcement and service operation.
7. Data Sharing
We may share data only as needed to operate and provide the Service, and only with trusted third parties under confidentiality and data protection obligations, such as:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- Analytics and monitoring providers
- Email delivery providers (SendGrid)
- Professional advisers where required
- Public authorities where disclosure is legally required
We do not sell personal data or disclose it for independent marketing or commercial purposes.
8. International Transfers
If data is transferred outside your country, we apply appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
